One thing we always say is that there is a great fit for everyone looking for a college. Whether you wish to play a sport or not can determine the magnitude of the fit. Easy questions to ask yourself include the geography of where you wish to go.....do you wish to be in a particular part of our country? A certain distance close to or far from home? Do you wish to go to an urban school and live in the big city? Or does a strong college campus speak to you more particularly?
These questions and many more can help you focus your search efforts and eventually find your top choices. Then visiting colleges is also key to see how the experience "feels" to you. Does it resonate?
These questions and many more are involved in the aid we provide to help HS students fit their best fit. If you are an athlete, please make sure that the athletic influence on your decision considers all possibilities. For instance, will you be happy at the school even if hurt and not able to play?
In your decision the sport should be the cherry on top of the ice cream sundae, not the ice cream. College is a 45-year choice and we aim to help you make your choice with this in mind.
